Creating this shower area in a small room was a major challenge. This was achieved by building the shower in a corner and fitting it with a hand held shower and rain shower head. A pony wall dividing the toilet from the shower was a perfect space to create a low niche in the shower to hide products. A chiseled, polished and honed mosaic that was linear horizontal was used in the shower to feature the walls and give the space visual and tactile texture. ... See MoreSee Less

"Designing for the 'Ohh!' in 90210" is our latest feature at Kitchen & Bath Business.

Doing business in one of the most famous zip codes in the world, Beverly Hills, is very exciting. However, it can also be a challenge. The residents of 90210 always want the “next big thing.” When it comes to interiors, they want something new and entirely different…something with a real “wow” factor…something their neighbors haven’t seen in person or in glossy magazines.

Most of our projects at Arch-Interiors Design Group are remodels, and the biggest request we’re getting is for size. Homeowners want it bigger physically, visually and conceptually. They want to make an impact and create an illusion of space even in tight quarters.

The owners of this beautiful backyard nestled in the Hollywood Hills wanted a secluded outdoor space. They requested open-air shower ideal for rinsing off sand after a trip to the beach, or just enjoying a natural shower experience. We designed this gently rounded outdoor shower wall and covered it with elegant glass mosaic tile. Light from the adjacent fire pit dances off of the curved wall, providing a dramatic effect especially at night. The tiles are positioned vertically to emphasize the shower height and incorporated an adjustable, removable shower head for ease. The surrounding vegetation provides the natural atmosphere the owners desired. The space is a peaceful outdoor retreat with an atmosphere that’s excellent for both entertaining family and friends or enjoying solitude. ... See MoreSee Less

This 1954 Hollywood Hills home features a multifunctional media room which our designers created by converting the existing garage. A polished grey colored concrete floor makes a bold statement. To add a layer of design that is still inviting, a vintage deco sofa, chairs, coffee and end tables were restored by the owners themselves. Media equipment is cleverly hidden in a mid-century low piece of furniture with the exception of a mounted plasma screen that resembles more a framed art piece than a technical eyesore. #interiordesign ... The drama of this gorgeous powder room design is the floor to ceiling colored decorative tile. A subtle combination of textures is kept successful by staying with a monochromatic palate. The Carrara vanity top and floor provide a nice compliment to blue tile. The vanity on chrome legs is simple and open as not to distract from the tile and continues the traditional style of the home.

A large mosaic detail on the shower wall of a residential bathroom in California. The majority of the space is covered in Mexican limestone, which creates a serene background for the mosaic design. Other marbles and granites were used in the mosaic to give it dimensionality. And the shower was framed in Venetian marble, which acted like a frame to the mosaic. #interiordesign #bathroom ...
